Monica is a proud Navy combat veteran, and a fierce advocate for justice, equality, and opportunity for all. Her journey has been shaped by life experiences that reflect the resilience and determination of the people in Kentucky’s 4th District. From serving her country in uniform to championing causes like veterans’ rights, women’s empowerment, and family-focused policies, she has dedicated her life to making a difference.
As a single mother raising a young son, Monica understands the challenges families face every day. She knows what it means to juggle responsibilities, overcome hardships, and fight for a better future. Her leadership has been forged through service, both in the military and in her community, where she’s worked tirelessly to address critical issues like access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunity.

📚 Strengthening Public Education
Every child in Kentucky deserves a shot at success, and that starts with fully funded public schools. When we invest in education, we’re not just helping our kids—we’re building a stronger workforce and attracting businesses that create better-paying jobs. It’s simple: strong schools mean a strong Kentucky.
🩺 Protecting Affordable Healthcare
No one should ever have to choose between life-saving medicine and putting food on the table—but too many Kentuckians do. I’ll fight to protect access to affordable healthcare, lower prescription drug costs, and defend coverage for pre-existing conditions. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and I won’t back down from that fight.
💪 Fighting for Working People
Rural communities like ours have what it takes to lead the way in job growth, but we need real investment in our workforce. That means good-paying jobs, strong unions, and policies that put working families—not corporate lobbyists—first. I’ll fight every day to bring jobs home to Kentucky and make sure no one has to leave their community just to make ends meet.
